Artwork Guidelines
Creating with confidence
Before submitting your artwork for print, please ensure your files meet the following requirements.
Supplying correctly prepared artwork helps us achieve the best possible print results and avoid production delays.
We cannot accept responsibility for colour inaccuracies if no colour references or Pantone values are supplied.
File Formats
We accept artwork created using Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
Preferred format
High-resolution PDF with all fonts embedded (Please ensure PDFs include correct trim and bleed boxes)
Other accepted formats
- Photoshop: EPS, PDF, TIFF
- Illustrator: AI, PDF, EPS (Please package all files to include fonts and linked images)
- InDesign: (Please package all files to include fonts and linked images)
Artwork Set-Up
- Artwork must be supplied to scale (e.g. 1:1, 1:2, 1:5, 1:10).
- Clearly name all files with the job reference and finished size
Bleed
If your design prints to the edge (no white border), artwork must include bleed.
- Extend all images and background colours beyond the trim line to allow for cutting tolerance.
Resolution
- Standard print: 300 dpi or higher
- Large format (vinyl banners, roll-up banners, posters): 150–200 dpi
- Banners over 3 metres: minimum 100 dpi at final size
Avoid using images taken from the web, as these are typically 72 dpi and unsuitable for print.
Transparency & Pantone Colours
Using transparency effects over Pantone (spot) colours may cause unexpected colour shifts, as software can convert spot colours to CMYK during processing.
To maintain accurate Pantone colours:
- Avoid transparency, drop shadows, soft glows, or blended effects on or beneath Pantone elements.
Overprint Settings
Objects set to Overprint will print on top of underlying artwork.
- Ensure all unnecessary overprint settings are turned off
- White set to overprint will not print
Colour Setup
- Supply all files in CMYK
- Use the Fogra 39 colour profile
- Any Pantone colours supplied will be printed to the closest possible match
- Rich black should be set to C50 M50 Y50 K100 (Black set as K100 only may appear flat)
